Goosebumps Book Study
During the last week we were set a task to make a book study. We chose to do Goosebumps. For the first days of our book study we planned it with a group. We then started to create our poster.
There were 4 groups where we all had a job to do. For our groups there was a design, blurb, author and book group. Once we had finished our ideas we all had one person from each group dry fit our work onto the piece of cardboard. Our theme was to be scary and cool but not too scary because it was going to be put into the school library for everyone to see.
I can't wait for everyone to enjoy our book study.

Learning Touch Rugby !
For the past 3 weeks we have been doing touch training with Trevor. Straight after morning tea we had touch training with our coach for the last time. For the first 2 weeks he taught us how to plant, dummy half, pass, scoop and tap.
On the last week (today) we got to play each other. Trevor told the girls to get to one side and the boys to get to the other. We then had to divide into 4 groups 2 teams of boys and 2 teams of girls. First the boys were up. They went on the field and played each other while us girls did some passing warm ups. It was then our turn so we went on the field. In the end we won .....woo!!

Gardening Time
Today we have the opportunity to design our own garden outside of our class. The thing is that the plants we chose have to be able to survive in the sun also by being able to survive life. The Tamaki College people came to dig out our old plants. I can just imagine what it would be like to have a garden we made .....Bonsai's are Japanese plants. They can grow up to 24 cm tall. Having these plants can make our garden look good but they also don't crowd our garden.
Hopefully this might happen and our garden will be better than before* .
Better Than Before shorten for (BTB).

DROP ! COVER ! HOLD !
Today at 9:15 schools around New Zealand did the shakeout drill . The bell rang 3 times and we had to drop , cover , and hold . All of us were crammed under our desk but it was better than being seriously injured if an earthquake actually happened. It is preparing us for the worst . I’m glad we participated in the Shake out . Remember Drop , Cover and Hold .

Aurora Australis Lights Up New Zealand .
Lucky Astronomers were amazed when they got a one of a kind view of the beautiful Aurora Australis . The Aurora Australis was an event that filled the sky with exquisite bright colors like pink , purple , blue and green. It happened when the solar winds from the sun mixed with the earth's upper atmosphere . The Beautiful sight is usually seen from the South Island but the solar storm was so big that it was spotted in the North East of the North Island .

Mad Messenger
Yesterday our class was joined with room 12 to learn about the mad messenger . The man taught us that we don't have to be brainy to be amazing . We also had some volunteers who wrote a mean word that people said to them .After that he taught us about Thomas Edison, he was the man who created the lightbulb. Thomas had a rough life as his teacher said he was too dumb . Then he found out that his dad was a criminal and he also had hearing issues . The man who took us created the Iron Man painting because he believes we can be one to .

Learning Badminton
This week we did many fun things but my favorite out of all of them was badminton . First of all we did some warm ups then learnt how to do a forehand and back hand grip . We then partnered up with someone, they had to throw the shuttle and I had to hit it back (my partner was Tyla). Then we had to take turns. We put the equipment back and said our good byes and left .
